MUSIC: The Momenta Quartet @ Williams College’s Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, Williamstown. The acclaimed contemporary chamber group performs Yusef Lateef’s String Quartet No. 2; Adam Rudolph’s “Morphic Resonances”; the world premiere of Agustín Fernández’s String Quartet No. 2, Sin tiempo and more. 8pm. FILM: “After Tiller” @ the Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy. Martha Shane & Lana Wilson’s intimate exploration of the highly controversial subject of third-trimester abortions in the wake of the 2009 assassination of Dr. George Tiller. A moving and unique exploration of one of the most incendiary topics of our time. 7pm. Admission by donation; $10 suggested; $5 student/low income.

FILM: “Ticket to Ride” @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. It’s Warren Miller’s 64th film, the newest installment of the legendary film series, taking ski and snowboard fans on an action-packed journey to some of the world’s most exotic destinations, including Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains, Switzerland’s Jungfrau, Montana’s Big Sky Country, Iceland’s Troll Peninsula, and beyond. 7:30pm. $21.

FILM: “Searching for Sugar Man” @ East Greenbush Community Library, East Greenbush. Malik Benjelloul’s Academy Award-winning documentary follows the efforts of two Cape Town fans in the late 1990s to find out whether the rumoured death of American musician Sixto Rodriguez was true, and, if not, to discover what had become of him. Rodriguez’s music, which never took off in the United States, had become wildly popular in South Africa, but little was known about him there. 6:30pm. FREE.
