FILM: “Russian Ark (Risskiy Kovcheg)” @ UAlbany’s Page Hall, Albany. Aleksandr Sokurov’s stunning 2002 film features 2,000 actors and three live orchestras, as it follows an invisible narrator and a group of dead souls as they cavort through 33 rooms of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg – all in filmed a single continuous shot. 7:30pm. FILM: “Dipso” @ the Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield. It’s the Berkshire premiere of Theodore Collatos’ award-winning film “Dipso,” shot by two-time Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Thomas Lowe in the Berkshires. Named Best Film at the Athens Film & Video Festival, “Dipso” follows Tommy, recently released from prison, as he tries to follow his dream of being a stand-up comedian while rebuilding his life and re-connecting with his ex-girlfriend and two brothers. 7pm.
