Conjure this portrait of the artist as a young man… David Greenberger found himself working at a nursing home in Boston, a career choice he considered an improvement over scooping ice cream or delivering flowers. Little did he realize that he’d ensconced himself in an environment with fascinating characters with stories to tell, and all the time in the world to tell them. The narratives he collected formed the basis of his lifelong occupation “Duplex Planet” which shares these tales and brings these dramatic personae vividly to life. Prior to Willie Alexander’s show at Valentine’s Music Hall last Saturday (October 12), he shared the vest-pocket music reviews that a gentleman name Ken Eglin offered to him, all those years ago.

David Greenberger of The Duplex Planet shared stories and conversations that he had shared in the past with his good friend ( now deceased ) Ken Englin , who shared his love for music through a column of record reviews called- “Ken’s Corner” ….this was a perfect segue into the introduction of The Fish Eye Brothers as David shared Ken Englin’s thoughts about Willie Alexander’s music ….This was wonderful David and Thank You Joel Patterson of Mountaintop Studios for this video recording …
