LIVE: The Parlor @ Restoration Festival, 9/6/13

Video by Timothy Reidy

September was a very good month for Nippertown’s own the Parlor, as Jen O’Connor and Eric Krans led their band in a rousing romp as Day One headliners at Rest Fest at the Contemporary Arists Center at Woodside in Troy, and then followed it up by kicking off Farm Aid at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center – the only Local 518 act on the bill – just two weeks later.

The band has been working hard on their upcoming album follow-up to Our Day in the Sun, and Krans revealed that it’s shaping up as “half folk, half funk.”

You can catch the Parlor in action again at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany, where they’ll share the stage with the Chandler Travis Philharmonic and Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned on Sunday, October 26.
