It’s even better the second time around…
For the second consecutive year, brothers Eric and Leigh Gibson (on banjo and guitar respectively), along with their band (bassist Mike Barber, fiddler Clayton Campbell and mandolinist Jesse Brock) walked off with top honors as Entertainers of the Year at the ceremonies.
But that’s not all…
They were also named Vocal Group of the Year, and the title track of their new album, “They Called It Music,” earned the trophy for Song of the Year. And to top it all off, Eric Gibson was also named Songwriter of the Year.
So it’s safe to say that the Gibson Brothers are at the top of the game and still going strong. Last year they took home trophies for Entertainers of the Year and Gospel Recording of the Year. In 2011, they snagged Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year. And in 2010, walked off with trophies for Song of the Year and Gospel Recording of the Year.
Congrats to Leigh and Eric Gibson and the rest of the band!
