1. THE FIRST ALBUM I EVER BOUGHT WAS … the first Boston album. I will say, however, that my mother told me that she listened to the Who’s Tommy day and night while pregnant with me. Does that count?

2. THE FIRST CONCERT THAT I EVER SAW WAS … the Who and the Clash. Rich Stadium in Buffalo, NY, 9/26/82

3. THE FIRST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT I EVER OWNED OR PLAYED WAS … the guitar. I was given one at the age of four by an aunt and uncle.

4. THE FIRST SONG THAT I EVER PERFORMED IN PUBLIC WAS … “Love Me Two Times” by the Doors.

5. THE FIRST BAND I WAS EVER IN WAS … I did my first paid job as a guitarist at the age of 14. It was a country/’50s band called Western Union. My first rock band was in high school. It was called the Naked Eye.

Garrett Lechowski joins the other members of Who Are You – singer Craig Simmons, drummer John Kiernan and bassist Vincent Lane – for a multimedia performance of “The Music of ‘Tommy’ by the Who Plus the Who’s Greatest Hits” at WAMC-FM’s The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Saturday (September 28). Tickets are $15.
