MUSIC: Farm Aid Eve Concert @ Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs. Former Dr. Dog drummer Juston Stens and his band the Get Real Gang kick off Farm Aid weekend in Saratoga, previewing selections from the upcoming documentary film “I Lay Where I Fall” and his upcoming sophomore solo album Share the Road, which also features members of Wilco, Spoon, Dr. Dog, Apollo Sunshine and Giant Cloud. It all kicks off at 10pm with Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned; Juston Stens & the Get Real Gang (11pm); and Psymon Spine (Skidmore band featuring members of Karate) at 12midnight. $7 (+$5 if under 21).
MUSIC: Jack Williams @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Sing Out! hails Williams as “one of the strongest guitar players in contemporary folk,” and he’s headed into the Caffe with a deep bag full of stories and foot-tapping melodies. 8pm. $20.
THEATER: “Ghost: The Musical” @ Proctors, Schenectady. It’s your last chance to catch the first national tour of the musical based on the Academy Award-winning film. PERFORMANCE: “Open Core” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Berlin-based French artist Julien Maire revisits public demonstrations of anatomic dissection from the 16th century with a performance in which he deconstructs cameras. The audience witnesses the elongation of cables, the diversion of light and a progressive destruction of connections. 7pm. $13.

Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delphy) first met in their 20s in Richard Linklater’s 1995 film, “Before Sunrise,” reunited in their 30s in 2004’s “Before Sunset,” and now, in 2013’s “Before Midnight,” they are an official couple. 7:30pm. $7; $5 students.
