MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Clip Payne Benefit Concert @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Clip lost most of his belongings in a house fire a few weeks ago, so the local music community is coming together to raise money to help him out with an evening of music by Blue Food (7:30pm), Stoney Clove Lane (8:30pm), Voodelic (9:30pm), Joey Eppard & Friends (10:15pm) and Ras T Asheber Posse (11:30pm). DJ Majic Juan spins between sets, and there will also be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. 7pm. $20 suggested donation.
FILM: “Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters” @ the Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield. An acclaimed photographer with the eye of a filmmaker, artist Gregory Crewdson has created some of the most gorgeously haunting pictures in the history of the medium, many of them shot in the Berkshires and Pittsfield. Ben Shapiro’s marvelous documentary beautifully bares the artist’s process… and it’s as mesmerizing and riveting as the images themselves. 7pm. $7.50.
