SPAC Grand Tasting

Do you like food?
How about wine?
Got a thing for fast, luxury cars?

If the answer to any of those questions is yes, you’ll want to head to Saratoga this weekend, as the Saratoga Performing Arts Center hosts its 13th annual Saratoga Wine & Food Festival & Concours D’Elegance.

It’s a three-day celebration of gourmet events showcasing fine international wines, innovative chef-prepared menus, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, innovative tastings, upscale auctions and a concours d’elegance of luxury automobiles presented by festival partner, the Saratoga Automobile Museum.

Featuring humorist/television commentator Mo Rocca and one of the northeast’s most innovative chef, Zak Pelaccio of Hudson’s Fish and Game, the fest promises to be a grand gourmet experience, and proceeds from the event will benefit Saratoga Performing Arts Center’s educational programs.

Here are some of the highlights of this weekend’s fest, which runs from Friday-Sunday (September 6-8):

Yearly summer vacations with the kids were special, but then they scattered. But this summer, we were able to reel in our daughter from Chicago and our son from Boston and partied (they’re older now) on the Vineyard.

The highlight of my summer was starting my blog MissRosieO.Blogspot.com. It really taught me to think outside the box and experience new things. I have met so many interesting people in the Capital Region, and it has forced me to grow as a writer, photographer and more confident person. I love documenting my life in that way and sharing my experiences with others. I also became quite the foodie, going from a strict vegetarian to now eating duck! I have come to respect the food industry and would honor the opportunity to get a chance to learn more about it at the Saratoga Food and Wine Festival.

  22. Kim says:

The highlight of my summer would probably be my trip to LBI (Long Beach Island) with my boyfriend. It was the most relaxing, fun, and memorable week I’ve had in a very long time.
