Benefit Concert: Music for the Mind @ Revolution Hall, 8/29/13

On Thursday (August 29), three bands will join forces for Music for the Mind, a benefit concert to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention. The concert will be dedicated to Gage Freeman, who was only 22 years old when he committed suicide in May.

Soul Sky, Grateful Dead tribute band Knot Dead and the Mike McMann Band will take the stage at Revolution Hall in Troy, beginning at 5pm on Thursday. Many local businesses have also donated prizes to be raffled off during the show.

Tickets are $25 (which also includes appetizers), and 100% of all proceeds raised throughout the evening will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at their annual Walk for R.I.T.A on Sunday, September 15 at the Saratoga Flat Track.
