MUSIC: Voodoo Orchestra North @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Led by with master drummer and rhythmic explorer Bobby Previte, an all-star ensemble of musicians explores the music of Miles Davis’ eternal electric jazz-funk masterpiece, Bitches Brew. 8pm. $7.

MUSIC ON FILM: “Live from Red Square” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. Two of Russia’s greatest opera singers – Anna Netrebko and baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky – performing in their homeland. One screening only. 7pm. $15; ages 12 and under $12.

MUSIC: The Dylan Perrillo Orchestra @ Dana Park, Albany. Traditional jazz big band playing music from the 1920s and ‘30s, with special guest Meara McTague. 6pm. FREE.

BURLESQUE: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ the Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany. Special guest host Roxxi Tart steps up to emcee the Bing Bamboo Room Gang’s landmark 100th show. 8pm. $12.

FILM: “The Whales of August” @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. Lillian Gish, Bette Davis and Vincent Price star in this moving and gently satiric 1987 film from Lindsay Anderson. 3pm. FREE.
