MUSIC: Philadelphia Orchestra @ SPAC, Saratoga Springs. German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser, hailed by Gramophone as “one of the finest among the astonishing gallery of young virtuoso cellists,” performs Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 as part of a masterful program led by Grammy Award-winning conductor Giancarlo Guerrero. 8pm.

FILM: “Ra.One” @ MASS MoCA, North Adams. A science-fiction superhero Bollywood film, with special effects by Jeff Kleiser, whose Synthespian Studios is a long-time creative tenant at MASS MoCA. 8pm. $12; kids $8.
