Festival Fever: New York Freedompalooza @ Altamont Fairgrounds, 8/24/13

Now that the Altamont Fair has come and gone for another year, the folks at the Altamont Fairgrounds are gearing up for their next event – the inaugural New York Freedompalooza, which takes over the grounds on Saturday (August 24).

Gates open at 11am, and the fest is scheduled to run from 11:30am til 7pm on Saturday. The entertainment focus is on country music. Tickets are $35 in advance; $45 at the gate; children age 12 and under free.

KEITH ANDERSON
The national recording artist scored Top 10 country hits with “Pickin’ Wildflowers,” “Every Time I Hear Your Name” and “I Still Miss You.”

CHUCK WICKS
The national recording artist who scored Top 10 country hits with “Stealing Cinderella” and “All I Ever Wanted,” comes to Altamont in support of his new album, Rough.

SKEETER CREEK
Popular veterans of the Local 518 country music scene.

THE BEADLE BROTHERS
Local 518 country music duo – featuring Matt and Bruce Beadle – performs in support of their latest album, To the Moon and Back.

TERRY LEE GOFFEE
Ohio-based Johnny Cash tribute artist.

FLOOD ROAD
J. Peter Yakel leads the Local 518 Americana roots-folkgrass band, who also serve as the host band for the annual Rhythm On the Ridge festival in Rotterdam.
