MUSIC: Paul Geremia @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The classic bluesman, raconteur and road warrior plays six- and twelve-string guitars, harmonica and piano, while singing in a husky, whiskey-and-heartbreak voice. With Low ‘N Lonesome. 7pm. $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Jazz in the Valley @ Waryas Park, Poughkeepsie. The 13th annual Jazz in the Valley festival is really two fests in one – the ticketed Main Stage fest and the free Pavilion Stage fest. Featuring Maurice Brown, Denise Thimes, Houston Person, Danny Mixon, 3D Ritmo de Vida, Maluwa, Charles Eubanks Trio, the wailing Sax Appeal (Javon Jackson, Jimmy Heath, Gary Bartz & Donald Harrison) and more. 11am. CABARET: “A Summer Night With Terri White” @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. From blues to Broadway, this “Follies” star has seen it all and lived to tell the tales. In addition to her highly acclaimed work in cabaret, the Great White Way has embraced Terri in roles ranging from “Barnum,” “Ain’t Misbehavin’,’ “Welcome to the Club,” “Chicago,” “Finian’s Rainbow” and, of course, the recent Broadway revival of “Follies.” 7pm.

MUSIC: “An Afternoon to Remember” @ SPAC’s Spa Little Theater, Saratoga Springs. Four of America’s most dynamic young chamber musicians – Alexei Kenney (violin), Molly Carr (viola), Andrew Janns (cello) and Dominic Cheli (piano) – perform works including Beethoven’s String Trio Op. 9 No. 2 and Danielpour’s A Child’s Reliquary. 2:15pm.

CABARET: The Wild Women: Flawed and Fabulous @ the Saratoga Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. Laura Roth, Nancy Timpanaro-Hogan and musical director-arranger Catherine Elizabeth Reid bring their witty playful humor, oversized personalities and fabulous three-part harmonies to the Spa City. 2pm. $35. MUSIC: Mucca Pazza @ MASS MoCA, North Adams. Yes, it’s 30-member psychedelic-punk mutant marching band adorned with rainbow-colored pom-poms, riding mutant bicycles and protected by hockey helmet-amplifiers. 12noon & 3pm. $14; $8 kids. More info here…

It’s the final day of Nippertown’s largest annual summer fair with racing pigs, a lumberjack show, frisbee-catching dog show, fried dough, the midway and music by J Collins, Protones, Skeeter Creek and more… Gates open at 10am; midway opens at 12noon. $17.

MUSIC: Scotty Mac & the Rockin Bonnevilles @ Lyons Lake, Nassau. 4pm.

READING/MUSIC: Peter Aaron & William Weber @ the Spotty Dog, Hudson. Two members of the longtime NYC punk band Chrome Cranks offer something a bit different – Aaron will read from pieces based on the pair’s shared years in the Ohio and New York punk scenes, while Weber colors and complements the proceedings on guitar. With Jeremy Kelly. 7pm.
