The Egg Announces Three New Concerts

The Egg in Albany has announced three new concerts in its American Roots & Branches series.

Tickets are currently available to members and will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, August 22. New memberships are currently being accepted for those wishing to taking advantage of the pre-sale. Call The Egg box office (518-473-1845) for details.

LOS LOBOS
Tuesday, December 3, 7:30pm

Using musical molds built on the blues, rockabilly, jazz, Latin and their own Mexican-American heritage, Los Lobos is simply one of America’s greatest rock bands.

THE WOOTEN BROTHERS BAND
Sunday, December 15, 7:30pm
$34.50, the Hart Theatre
One America’s favorite family bands, the Wootens – featuring Victor on bass, Roy “Futureman” on percussion (both from Bela Fleck & the Flecktones), Regi on guitar and Joseph on keyboards – reunite to perform their funky blend of R&B, hip-hop, jazz, rock and blues.

THE BAD PLUS
Saturday, February 8, 8pm
$24, the Swyer Theatre
The Bad Plus – bassist Reid Anderson, pianist Ethan Iverson and drummer David King – bring their avant-garde jazz-populism to The Egg performing their original music as well as reshaping songs in the pop, rock, country and classical idioms.
