FAIR: The Altamont Fair @ the Altamont Fairgrounds, Altamont. It’s Day One of Nippertown’s largest annual summer fair with racing pigs, a lumberjack show, frisbee-catching dog show, fried dough, the midway and music by Bobby Stillwell, the hip-hop group S.K.A.T.E., the Jonny Hirsch Band, Danielle Parente and more… Gates open at 10am; midway opens at 12noon. $15. MUSIC: Davyd Booth & the Wister Quartet @ SPAC’s Spa Little Theater, Saratoga Springs. Booth joins the Wister Quartet and pianist André-Michel Schub, as he displays his multi-faceted skills on both violin and piano. The program features Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet, Schubert’s Fantasia in f minor for Piano Four Hands and Borodin’s String Quartet No. 2 in D Major. 8pm.
