The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park will play host to In This Moment’s Hell Pop Tour on Saturday, November 9. Motionless in White, Kyng and All Hail the Yeti kick off the evening’s musical festivities at 7pm. Priced at $20 in advance ($22 at the door), tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (August 9). Also new at UCH, Taking Back Sunday returns on Friday, October 11 with Polar Bear Club and Transit opening the show at 8pm ($27.50; on sale at 12noon on Friday); Silverstein takes the stage at 7:30pm on Wednesday, November 6 ($13 in advance; $15 at the door); and Big D & the Kids Table grab the spotlight on Thursday, December 5, with the Fighting Jamesons and Another All-Nighter kicking off the evening at 7:30pm ($13 in advance; $15 at the door).
Following his sold-out show at Club Helsinki in Hudson last fall, Tony nominee Charles Busch returns with a new cabaret show, “Late Summer Magic,” at 7pm on Sunday, September 1. Tickets are $50.
The Ale House in Troy has booked Mike Farris – former frontman for the Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies – for an intimate solo show at 9pm on Thursday, August 15. Tickets are $15. Also headed back for a return trip to the Ale House are the one and only NRBQ on Thursday, September 12.
Schenectady native Blake Christiana and his roots-rockin’ Americana band Yarn step into the spotlight at Proctors’ GE Theatre in Schenectady at 8pm on Wednesday, September 18. The concert is a benefit for the youth programs of Schenectady Youth Boxing, and tickets are $22.
After making their initial round of announcements for the upcoming 2013-2014 season, the Eighth Step at Proctors has added another batch of shows to the calendar, including Susan Werner on Sunday, October 20; Kim & Reggie Harris with Magpie on Saturday, December 21; Aztec Two-Step on Saturday, January 11; Brooks Williams with Beaucoup Blue on Saturday, March 1; Annie & the Hedonists on Saturday, March 29; Lou & Peter Berryman with Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen on Saturday, April 12; John McCutcheon on Friday, April 25; John Gorka with Mustard’s Retreat on Friday, May 9; and Holly Near & the Peace Becomes You Band on Saturday, May 17.
Umphrey’s McGee will be making a tour stop at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton at 8pm on Friday, October 18. The London Souls open the show. Tickets are $23.50 and go on sale on Friday, August 16.
Popmeisters Fountains of Wayne are headed into the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton at 7pm on Thursday, September 26. Priced at $25 in advance ($28 at the door), tickets go on sale on Friday (August 9).
