Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion Double Their CD Release Fun

Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion are releasing their new album, Wassaic Way, on Tuesday (August 6), and they’ll be playing at not one, but two CD release parties in Pittsfield that night.

The festivities will kick off with a live performance by Sarah Lee & Johnny at Pittsfield’s yBar at 391 North Street at 8pm.

Then, they’ll jump across the street to 438 North Street and continue the party with another live performance at the Mission Bar + Tapas at 9pm. As part of the celebration, the Mission will be pouring Big Elm’s Wassaic Brown Ale, a limited release beer from the new Berkshire brewery.

Wassaic Way – the third studio album from Guthrie & Irion – was produced by Jeff Tweedy and Pat Sansone of Wilco in their Chicago studio, the Loft. Featuring 11 original tunes (including “Already Gone,” co-written with Tweedy), the album will be released on Route 8 Records.
