Hot New Concert Announced for the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall

Well, here’s one we certainly didn’t see comin’…

Elvis Costello will be serving up an intimate solo concert at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall at 8pm on Wednesday, November 6.

Costello’s new album Wise Up Ghost – a collaboration with the Roots – is slated for release on Tuesday, September 17 on Blue Note Records.

Costello’s recent forays into Nippertown have been quite a musically varied batch of offerings. He brought the Imposters with him for a rip-snortin’ set opening for the Police at SPAC (August 1, 2008). He played solo, opening for Bob Dylan at the Times Union Center (October 6, 2007). And he teamed up with veteran jazz pianist Marian McPartland for a live taping of her NPR “Piano Jazz” radio show at Tanglewood (September 2, 2006).

Tickets for Costello’s Music Hall concert are priced at $40, $65, $75 & $85. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Friday (August 9).
