The Charlie Watts Riots have teamed up with three-time Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz for their upcoming sophomore album, A Break in the Weather, which is slated for release on the MCDMAN label.
The Charlie Watts Riots traveled in April to Nashville, where Raskulinecz – whose credits include Foo Fighters, Rush, Superdrag, Alice in Chains and many others – put the finishing touches on A Break in the Weather, which is slated for release on September 17.
“Nick was a thrill to work with because he’s a true fan of rock and roll,” says the Charlie Watts Riots’ guitarist Seth Powell. “We couldn’t be more excited about how our record turned out. We were happy with our new songs at the start, but Nick’s musical know-how really made them sound bigger than life.”
Charlie Watts Riots – which also features bassist-vocalist Mike Pauley and drummer Joe Putrock – will celebrate the release of their new album on Saturday, September 21 with performances at LarkFest in Albany followed by a CD release party at Valentine’s Music Hall later that night.
