MUSIC: Joe McPhee-Chris Corsano Duo @ the Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs. The veteran free jazz saxophone giant and the equally adventurous drummer – recently named one of the 100 Greatest Drummers of Alternative Music by SPIN Magazine – team up for an evening far-reaching improvisational music. 8pm. $6-$10.

MUSIC: The 5 Browns @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, the musical family ensemble offers the world premiere of a new five-piano arrangement. Presented by Saratoga ArtsFest. 7:30pm. $75 & $125; with ArtsPass $20 & $50.

MUSIC: Paul Kelly @ The Linda, Albany. The veteran Australian singer-songwriter rolls into town. Is this his first time in town? Is that possible? 8pm. $17.

FILM/DISCUSSION: “Ballin’ at the Graveyard” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. One screening only of the Local 518 documentary about the weekend warriors who play pick-up basketball in Albany’s Washington Park. Followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. 6:30pm. $9.50; seniors $7.75; children $6.75.
