FILM: “Our Nixon” @ the Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy. Former Capital Region resident Penny Lane returns to screen her acclaimed documentary, produced with more than 500 reels of rediscovered Super 8 home movie footage filmed by the 37th president’s closest aides, including Nixon chief of staff H.R. Haldeman, domestic affairs adviser John Ehrlichman, and special assistant Dwight Chapin between 1969 and 1973. Followed by Q&A with the filmmaker. 7pm. $10 suggested donation; student/low income $5.

TALK: John Blowers @ the Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy. The author of “Life on Tilt: Confessions of a Poker Dad” – which he describes as “a fictional autobiography” – offers a multimedia presentation and a preview of his sequel, “Life After Tilt.” Proceeds will go to Junior Achievement of Northeastern NY. 7:30pm. $10.
