MUSIC: Jazz Heroes Award Ceremony @ Photosensualis, Woodstock. On behalf of the Jazz Journalists Association, Susan Brink will present Karl Berger and Ingrid Sertso with their Jazz Heroes Awards for their dedication and their role in keeping jazz and creative music alive. Live music, speeches, an award ceremony, surprise guests and complimentary refreshments. 7-9pm. FREE.

MUSIC: The Howlin’ Brothers @ Colony Cafe, Woodstock. The three-piece Americana string band rolls into town in support of their new album Howl. 8pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Blue Food @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The Woodstock band – “98 percent funk, 2 percent jazz” – features Ted Orr, Tony Parker, Michael Colletti, Bernhard Spirig, Sam Newsome, Peter Buettner and Stacey Waterous with tonight’s special guest Neil Alexander. 8pm. FREE.

THEATER ON FILM: “Great Expectations” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. Jo Clifford’s stage adaptation comes from London’s West end in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. 12noon. $15: ages 12 and under $12. Also at 6:30pm on Monday.

FILM: “12 Angry Men” @ Proctors, Schenectady. Sidney Lumet’s classic 1957 courtroom drama starring Henry Fonda. 2:30, 5 & 7:30pm. $5.

BURLESQUE: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ the Bayou Cafe, Albany. Caroline MotherJudge hosts this month’s “Sons & Daughters” edition with the Bing Bamboo Room Gang. 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Dave Reed @ the Lion’s Den at the Red Lion Inn, Stockbridge. An evening of finger-picked whoop-de-do and hoo-haw on guitars/banjos/ukes and a cigar box guitar. 8pm. FREE.
