MUSIC: Eric Krasno @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Last Friday, Soulive drummer Alan Evans brought his side-project trio to town. Now Soulive’s guitarist leads his side-project band, Chapter 2, in support of his debut solo album, Reminisce. 8pm. $30.

READING: James Lasdun @ UAlbany Science Library’s Standish Room, Albany. The newest book by the writer, “Give Me Everything You Have,” is a nonfiction account of his experience of being harassed and stalked by a former writing student. 4:15pm. FREE.

FILM: “Hava Nagila (The Movie)” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. It’s a Jewish staple that has transcended its origins and become a worldwide hit. Bob Dylan sang it. Elvis, too. Follow the infectious “Hava Nagila” on its fascinating journey from the shtetls of Eastern Europe to the suburbs of America in this hilarious and surprisingly deep film. 7pm. $9.50; seniors $7.75; children $6.75.
