TALK: N. Katherine Hayles @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. The Duke University professor of literature and new media theorist gives a talk, “Performing Technogenesis: The Affective Power of Digital Media.” 6pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Renaissance @ The Egg, Albany. With Annie Haslam still at the microphone, the prog-rock vets perform two of their albums in their entirety – Turn of the Cards and Scheherazade and Other Stories. 7:30pm. $34.50. UPDATE: This concert is officially sold out.
