It’s time for another edition of Ask Nipper, in which readers seek verification and details about various Capital Region music, arts and entertainment memories that may have become somewhat foggy over the years.
Today’s Ask Nipper entry comes from Norman Kee, who writes:
“I recall a disc jockey on WTRY playing an Olivia Newton John song about eight times in a row to protest having to play it all. I think it was “Have You Never Been Mellow.” The marathon ended when he was fired on air. Did that happen? How was the DJ?”
Does somebody out in Nippertown have any answers for Norman?
