RADIO: “A Tribute to Michael Brecker” @ WCDB 90.9FM. Saxophonist Brian Patneaude pays tribute to the late Michael Brecker on DJ Bill McCann’s “Saturday Morning Edition Of Jazz” radio program. 8am-12noon.

READING/MUSIC: Clark Coolidge @ Albany Center Gallery, Albany. The experimental poet and jazz drummer will read from his semi-legendary book “A Book Beginning What and Ending Away,” recently published by Fence Books. Bassist Michael Bisio will accompany the reading, sponsored by the Yes! Poetry & Performance Series. 8pm. FREE; donations encouraged.

MUSIC: The Slaughterhouse Chorus @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. It’s the homecoming end-of-tour show for the Americana-punksters. With tourmates the End Men, rapidly rising California garage-popsters Warm Soda (in support of their debut album Someone For You on Castle Face Records) and Local 518 faves Party Boat and the Jack Russell Terrorists. MUSIC: The John Menegon Quartet @ the Art Bar, Rhinebeck. The acclaimed bassist and his band – featuring saxman Dan Faulk, guitarist Micheal-Louis Smith, and drummer Dave Berger – play jazz standards, cool jazz and bossa nova, original compositions. 7:30pm. FREE.
