MUSIC: The Waterboys @ WAMC’s The Linda, Albany. With Molly Durnin. Founder Mike Scott leads the internationally acclaimed alternative Celtic band – featuring fiddler Steven Wickam and keyboardist Daniel Mintseris – in support of their new album, An Appointment With Mr. Yeats. 8pm. $15.

MUSIC: Skip Parsons’ Dixieland and All That Jazz @ the Crossgates Restaurant & Banquet House, Albany. A special Fat Tuesday-style event featuring New Orleans cuisine, music and more… beads, doubloons, dancing, balloons, New Orleans-style jazz, prizes. 12noon-3pm. $39.95 includes food buffet, music, tax, gratuity and favors; music only $15.

RADIO: “Radio Warfare” @ WGXC 90.7FM. DJ Tim Livingston serves up his monthly rock & roll radio show, including a full-blown local music segment featuring a set of all-regional early ’80s punk and new wave – including rare unissued material like a Dialtones/Real Danger demo by Rory McPherson and a track from the long-lost unreleased Dronez album – followed by a mix of newer local bands. 7-9:30pm.
