Win FREE TICKETS to That1Guy at Red Square on Friday!

Mike Silverman calls himself That1Guy, and you can rest assured that he’s definitely one of a kind.

He returns to Red Square in Albany on Friday (March 22), bringing his futuristic funk sound and new tour, “That1Guy & The Magic Pipe Present: An Evening of Musical Magical Wonder… The Likes of Which Ye Haven’t Yet Seen,” to town.

The Magic Pipe? Yes, the Magic Pipe… an utterly unique seven-foot-tall musical instrument/invention created from a collection of steel plumbing pipes and joints, orchestral bass strings and electronics. Other musical creations from the way-left-of-center mind of That1Guy include such innovative concoctions as the Magic Boot and the Magic Saw.

“I like being my own person,” he says. “I didn’t set out to be a weirdo, but I’m starting to embrace it.”

That1Guy takes over Red Square in Albany on Friday night (March 22). Captain Ahab’s Motorcycle Club opens the show at 9pm. Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 at the door.

BUT WAIT… there’s more. We’re giving away a pair of FREE TICKETS for That1Guy to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. Deadline to enter is 12noon on Friday (March 22). The winner will be selected at random and notified on Friday afternoon. Good luck!
