New Rock Concert Announced for SPAC

Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls are teaming up for a co-headlining tour this summer, and they’ll be making a stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, June 26.

Rob Thomas and his Matchbox Twenty bandmates are on the road in support of their latest album North, while Johnny Rzeznik and the rest of the Goo Goo Dolls will be pushing their new album, Magnetic, which is slated for release on May 7.

Following opening night in Manchester, New Hampshire, the SPAC show is just the second date of the tour, which is scheduled to run all summer long.

UPDATE (4/9/13, 5pm): Well, more than three weeks after we announced it, the folks at Live Nation have finally made it official. Kate Earl will open the show at 7pm. Reserved amphitheater seats are $30, $49, $69 & $95; general lawn admission is $25. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Saturday (April 13).
