FILM: “Ferlinghetti: A Re-birth of Wonder” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. With this definitive documentary, director Christopher Felver crafts an incisive, sharply wrought portrait that reveals Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s true role as catalyst for numerous literary careers and for the Beat movement itself. 6pm. $7; students $5.

FILM: “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” @ Proctors, Schenectady. A punk rockin’ (and rollicking) film that deals with transgender issues and the transgender identity. It kicks off the third annual QFest. 8pm. $9; students $7.
