MUSIC: Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band @ The Egg, Albany. In support of his upcoming new recording The Beast in its Tracks, Ritter returns to The Egg with his band. One of today’s foremost singer-songwriters embraces the topical while reaching for the timeless with songs that are firmly rooted in right now but are guaranteed to resonate for years to come. THEATER: “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” @ Proctors, Schenectady. It’s opening night of the Broadway musical that tells the story of a trio of friends on a road trip of a lifetime, who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback.
