Last night’s Godzilla double-feature was sold out, but – as one of the programmers – it is actually tonight’s TRIPLE FEATURE that I hold closest to my heart. DJANGO, of course, is legendary, but it’s never been better thanks to an all new, much improved translation restoring all of this classic’s original gravitas. And DJANGO KILL! is nothing short of a revelation with its new translation. It is notorious for being the most cynical and surreal of the Spaghetti Westerns, but now its intelligence is also fully on view. Then there’s our 3rd “secret” feature that many fans of the genre count as their favorite of all of the Italian-produced Westerns.
