Unplugged: Louder Ain’t Always Better

A few acoustic club shows of special note:

In support of their latest album Rebels On the Run, country music hitmakers Montgomery Gentry will be riding into town next month for a special acoustic show. The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park will play host to the Kentucky boys at 8pm on Monday, February 25. Tickets are $12.

With his latest back-up band, the Sensitive Boys, Austin roots rocker Alejandro Escovedo has rolled into town for several highly memorable shows in recent years. He’s headed back into Club Helsinki in Hudson at 8pm on Sunday, April 7, and while the Sensitive Boys will be with him once again, this time around they’re going the unplugged route. Tickets are $28 in advance; $30 at the door. Escovedo and the band will also be making a tourstop at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton at 7pm on Tuesday, April 9. Tickets for that show are $22.50 in advance; $25 at the door.
