MUSIC: MotherJudge & the Wheelbarrow Boys @ Pauly’s Hotel, Albany. Nippertown’s fave Americana alt-folk diva MotherJudge teams up with the upstart bluegrass duo of Mat Kane & Scott Hopkins. Oh, this sounds good… 8:30pm.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Melodies of Christmas @ Proctors, Schenectady. The annual holiday concert once again features the Empire State Orchestra & Youth Choral when it takes the stage for four performances beginning tonight. Joining in this year’s festivities will be special guests Big Medicine, Martha Gallagher, the Northeast Ballet and the Orlando School of Dance. 7pm. $15 & $25. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: Murali Coryell Band @ Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs. A last-minute booking of the fine Hudson Valley blues guitarist and his band. 9pm. FREE.
