FILM: “Barrymore” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. Academy Award-winner Christopher Plummer stars as John Barrymore, one of the greatest Shakespearian actors of all time in this play by William Luce. With “Backstage with Barrymore,” a making-of documentary. 12noon. $15; students $12.

MUSIC: Malcolm Gets @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The Helsinki On Broadway cabaret series continues with the Tony nominated actor-singer, perhaps best known for his featured role on the TV sitcom “Caroline in the City.” 7pm. $20 & $35.

THEATER: “Doctor Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog: A Musical by Joss Whedon.” 2pm. $10. Also 7pm Monday & Tuesday.

This film by Nikolaj Arcel is the true story of an ordinary man who wins the queen’s heart and starts a revolution – all centered on the intriguing love triangle between the ever more insane Danish King Christian VII (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard), the royal physician Struensee (Mads Mikkelsen) and the young Queen Caroline Mathilda (Alicia Vikander). 6pm. $7; students $5.
