It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got swing…
And believe me, the seven-piece little big band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy knows how to swing that thing. After all, they’ve been doing it for nearly a quarter century now.
They got their big break when they performed in the hit 1996 movie, “Swingers,” and they’ve just kept rolling along since then, led by vocalist-guitarist-founder Scotty Morris. The band recorded the theme song for the hit TV sitcom “3rd Rock From the Sun.” They recorded an album of classic Cab Calloway songs. And, yes, they even performed at the Super Bowl half-time show in 1999.
At 8pm on Friday (November 16), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy struts into the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, swinging in support of their new album, “Rattle Them Bones.” Tickets are $29 & $36.
BUT WAIT… we’re giving away a pair of FREE TICKETS for Friday’s concert to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too.
