POSTPONED: “Masquerave” @ the Washington Avenue Armory

Following the incidents at the last week’s foam party at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, the city ordered a ban on all non-sporting events at the venue until it acquired the proper permits.

At the time, it was unclear whether that ban applied to performances that had already been booked for the armory.

Now it’s been announced that “Masquerave,” a dance party event originally slated to take place tonight (Friday, October 26) has been postponed til Friday, November 30.

But at least for the moment, it looks as though the Festival of the Dead on Saturday is still slated to take place as scheduled. The festival – featuring a diverse array of Local 518 bands including the Erotics, Jocamo, These Are the Hits, Sirsy, the Swing Docs and many others – is a benefit for the Family Trauma Center at Albany Medical Center and the Aurora Foundation.
