The brainchild of Sunny da Silva, the Capital District Playwright’s Workshop celebrated its first anniversary with a series of plays at Troy Night Out. All the plays were written by the local playwrights involved in this collaborative, and they included these seemingly disconnected elements: a Picasso painting, a head of iceberg lettuce, the Jack Jones hit “Wives and Lovers” and a talking object. The venue was the lecture hall at the Independent Living Center.
Capital District Playwright’s Workshop at 15 Third Street is once again presenting an evening of short plays by local playwrights examining the nature of fear. 7 & 8pm tonight (Friday, October 26). Admission is free.
