After their headline performance at Restoration Festival was washed out by tropical storm Irene more than a year ago, A Hawk & a Hacksaw are finally making their way to Nippertown on Saturday night (October 27).
Co-presented by Dellarocca Booking and B3nson Recording Company, the duo – featuring Jeremy Barnes (of Neutral Milk Hotel) and his wife Heather Trost (who were both also early members of Beirut) – is slated to wing their way into Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany for a Halloween weekend bash.
Also joining in the evening’s festivities will be Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned and Brian Dewan. And, of course, there will be a costume contest – judged by Dewan and WCDB-FM program director Gabby McGowan.
The bash promises to be an early evening (ending before 11pm), so you’ll still have plenty of time to roll around to those late-night Halloween parties around town.
Doors open at 7:30pm; music starts promptly at 8pm.
BUT WAIT… we’re giving away a pair of FREE TIX for Saturday’s show to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winner will be selected at random and notified on Saturday. Good luck! Congratulations to the winner, who has been notified by email.
