Who are they all raving about? That would be Deer Tick, led by unpredictable frontman John McCauley. The Providence-based band is certainly no stranger to Nippertown, and in recent years, they’ve graced the stages at Restoration Festival, Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival, Valentine’s Music Hall and such now-sadly defunct venues as Jillian’s and Revolution Hall.
This time around the band is kicking off their October tour the northeast with an unbridled show at Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs in support of their latest album, last year’s Divine Providence and their EP Tim that dropped in February. The tour will wrap up at the end of the month with John McCauley and friends at Carnegie Hall. Yes, the Carnegie Hall.
At Deer Tick’s Putnam Den show, Local 518 faves Wild Adriatic and Barons in the Attic will be sharing the evening’s festivities. It all takes place at 9pm on Saturday (October 13), and tix are $20.
