Sara Milonovich & Daisycutter have been hard at work in the studio recording the follow-up album to their self-titled 2009 debut. But they’ll be taking a night off to head into Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs on Saturday (October 13) for a concert that will preview lots of the upcoming album’s new material, as well as some other favorites. Expect to hear everything from traditional fiddle tunes to just maybe some Led Zeppelin.
A former (and still occasional) member of the McKrells, Milonovich is an acclaimed singer-songwriter-fiddler who has recorded with such artists as Pete Seeger, Richard Shindell, Cathy Ryan, Anne Hills and Antje Duvekot, to name just a few.
On Saturday night, Milonovich will be joined by guitarist Greg Anderson and Railroad Earth’s multi-talented Andy Goessling on mandolin, dobro and banjo.
Sara Milonovich & Daisycutter will step onto the hallowed Caffe Lena stage in Saratoga Springs at 8pm on Saturday (October 13). Tix are $18 in advance; $20 at the door.
BUT WAIT… we’re giving away a pair of FREE TIX for Saturday’s concert to two lucky Nippertown readers! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winner will be selected at random and notified on Saturday. Good luck! Congratulations to the winner, who has been notified by email.
