READING: Yannick Murphy @ the Bard College Bertelsmann Campus Center’s Weis Cinema, Anannandale-On-Hudson. The author of “Here They Come,” “Signed, Mata Hari” and other books will read from her most recent novel, “The Call.” 2:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: The Compact @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The acoustic duo of Steven W. Ross and Erin Hobson. 8pm. FREE.

LECTURE: Daniel Albright @ the Bard College Bertelsmann Campus Center’s Weis Cinema, Anannandale-On-Hudson. The Harvard University professor of literature will deliver the talk, “The Purposes of Literature: Remembering, Forgetting, Pounding into Shape.” 4:30pm. FREE.

  1. I saw the Erin Hobson Compact with Steven Ross (on keyboards, I believe) at the 2011 Mountain Jam and they were pretty good for being stuck inside during the mostly outdoor festival.
