FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Electric City Uke Fest 2012 @ the Eighth Step at Proctors, Schenectady. Nippertown’s own ukemeister Ron Gordon emcees the afternoon workshops and other sessions featuring Jumpin’ Jim & Liz Beloff, Joel Eckhaus & the Vododeeyos, Banjo Bill Dilloff & Paula Bradley (aka, Moonshine Holler), Ukulele Mike (aka, Michael Eck) and Terri Roben, beginning at 1pm. FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Hannaford Hispanic Heritage Celebration @ the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, Albany. Plenty of dancers and lots of music from DJ Xtreme, the Flow Boyz, Amarfis y la Banda de Attake and La Excelencia. 3-8pm. FREE. MUSIC: Arturo O’Farrill @ the Wedgewood Inn, Schoharie. The pianist-bandleader wowed the crowd at this summer’s Freihofer Saratoga Jazz Fest with his Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. This time around he downsizes to a quartet with trumpeter Jim Seeley, percussionist Joe Gonzalez and bassist Gregg August.

MUSIC: Jim Malcolm @ Old Songs, Voorheesville. Longtime lead vocalist with Old Blind Dogs, Malcolm is one of Scotland’s finest folksingers. 8pm. $20.

THEATER: “Found” @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. Based on Davy Rothbart’s delightfully quirky Found books, magazines, tours and appearances on “This American Life” comes a new musical comedy about the things we’ve lost and the ways they bring us together.
