FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Jazz at the Lake: Lake George Jazz Weekend @ Shepard Park, Lake George. The fabulous jazz fest celebrates its 29th year on the shores of the lake with Emilio Solla & Bien Sur (1pm), the Sachal Vasandani Quintet (2:30pm), the Warren Wolf Group (4:15pm) and Donald Harrison, Jr. & Congo Square Nation (7:30pm). FESTIVAL/MUSIC: LarkFest @ Lark Street, Albany. Nippertown’s biggest street party takes over Lark Street with two stages of music including World Party, super soulman Ryan Shaw, Jukebox the Ghost, popster Graham Alexander, Sevendys and lots more. FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Irish 2000 Music & Arts Festival @ Saratoga County Fairgrounds, Ballston Spa. Three stages. FILM: “Free Radicals: A History of Experimental Cinema” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Filmmaker Pip Chodorov offers his affectionate overview of some of the leading figures of 20th century experimental film, combining film clips (and entire films) with conversations with the likes of such greats as Hans Richter, Robert Breer, Michael Snow, Peter Kubelka and Stan Brakhage. 4pm. $7; students $5.

MUSIC: Carolina Chocolate Drops @ Bard College’s, Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Annandale-On-Hudson. The Grammy Award-winning band fires up a gumbo of vintage southern black music traditions from the string-band music of the 1920s & ’30s to jug band music to fife & drum.
