Song o’ the Week: Ralph Stanley’s “White Light/White Heat”

Yes, that’s 85-year-old bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley covering the Velvet Underground for the soundtrack of the upcoming Nick Cave-penned film, “Lawless,” which opens in theaters on Wednesday (August 29).

And yet…

Somehow, it still sounds pretty damned authentic.
