Ophira Eisenberg brings her Poignant Comedy at Mass MoCA on August 18 [Berkshire on Stage]

North Adams, MA – Hailing from Alberta, Canada, and now based out of New York City, comedian and storyteller Ophira Eisenberg makes the trek to the Berkshires on Saturday, August 18, at 8 PM, for an Alt Cabaret performance on MASS MoCA’s Club B-10 stage. Eisenberg is a regular on The Moth, a New York City-based nonprofit organization that conducts live storytelling events, and can frequently be found performing stand-up at many of the city’s comedy clubs. Surely the mark of a comedian on the rise, she has been praised by Best of New York.com as “a rare combination of a sharp stand-up and a brilliant storyteller”.

The New York Times reports: “What distinguishes Ms. Eisenberg is how thoughtfully she adjusts to the form she’s working in while retaining the essence of her bleakly stylish humor.” Her natural wit and clever charm captivate her spectators, no matter who or where they are. “Give her just a minute,” says The Apiary Magazine, “and Ophira will win you over.”
