The folks at the B3nson Recording Collective have been parsing out the Restoration Festival roster of bands one at a time over the course of the past two months, but now they’ve finally announced the complete line-up for the three-day fest, which will take place at St. Joseph’s Church in downtown Albany on September 7-9.
Among the new top-of-the-bill announcements are Sharon Van Etten, who turned in a knock-out performance at The Egg last month opening for Conor Oberst, but will return with her full touring band to co-headline the Saturday, September 8 fest line-up with Mount Eerie. And stalwart singer-songwriter Willy Mason, who will be warming up for his Australian tour with Mumford & Sons, with a headlining Rest Fest performance on Sunday, September 9.
Previously announced bands for the Restoration Festival include such bands as the Loom, Hop Along, Brian Dewan and Common Prayer and the hotly anticipated reunion of the Kamikaze Hearts as the headliners on Friday, September 7.
And, of course, the fest will also feature an array of homegrown Local 518 bands, including the Parlor, Giles Bennet & the Petrified Woods, Swamp Baby, Goldtooth, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Better Pills, Dryer, Careers, Barons in the Attic and Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned.
Tix for Rest Fest are currently on sale. Single day tix are $20 for Friday and Sunday; $30 for Saturday. Three-day all-fest tix are $40; but early bird all-fest tix are just $30 if purchased by Thursday (August 9).
