Here’s Johnny…

John Lydon, that is.

Yes, indeed, it looks like the Artist Formerly Known as Johnny Rotten is headed to Clifton Park, of all places.

Lydon will be leading the reunited Public Image Ltd. – which also features guitarist Lu Edmonds, bassist Scott Firth and drummer Bruce Smith – into the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Friday, October 12, according to PiL’s website. The band is touring in support of their new album, “This Is PiL.”

No additional details are available at this time, but tix are slated to go on sale on Saturday (August 4), according to the PiL website.

UPDATE (8am, Tuesday July 31): Priced at $22.50 in advance ($25 at the door), tix will go on sale at 10am on Saturday (August 4).

Nothing says “punk rock” like 60 year olds with bad dye jobs.

  2. Scott C. says:

@humm, hey would you mind explaining what does say “punk rock” in 2012 to us fossils who lived through it but tend to forget nowadays? PiL aren’t punk rock and they never were. And to Nippertown: they’re a company, not a band.

  3. Scott C. says:

Oh, and as I recall, British punk rock was built on endless bad dye jobs.

  4. J Hunter says:

Uhh, the Clash? The Buzzcocks? Dye jobs, you say?
