Three New Concerts Coming to The Egg

The Egg in Albany has added three more new performances to the calendar for its 2012-13 American Roots & Branches concert series. Tickets are currently available to members of The Egg and go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, June 27.

Acoustic music adventurers continue to explore uncharted territory with their new recording, “Who’s Feeling Young Now?” featuring mandolinist-vocalist Chris Thile, banjoist Noam Pikelny, fiddler Gabe Witcher, guitarist Chris Eldridge and bassist Paul Kowert.

THE ROBERT GLASPER EXPERIMENT
Sunday, October 7, 7:30pm
$24; members $20, Swyer Theatre
The pianist-composer stakes out new musical territory that transcends any notion of genre, drawing from jazz, hip-hop, R&B and rock with his band that features Casey Benjamin (vocoder, saxophone), Derrick Hodge (bass) and Chris Dave (drums).
